This page lists regular traders and their approved product categories at Truro Farmers Market.
The purpose of this register is to help maintain a balanced and diverse mix of traders, while protecting the core products that individual traders specialise in.
The register provides transparency for traders and supports fair decision-making when reviewing new trader applications.
This document is intended as an internal reference for traders and the market committee.
Product Categories
Products sold at the market are divided into two main types.
Primary Products
Primary products are the main goods that a trader is known for and specialises in.
These products represent the core identity of the business and are the main focus of their stall.
Where possible, the market will avoid introducing additional regular traders whose primary product directly duplicates an existing trader’s core offering.
Secondary Products
Secondary products are additional items that traders may sell alongside their primary product, provided they are approved by the market.
Secondary products must complement and be in keeping with the trader’s primary product offering, rather than being unrelated items.
Secondary products may overlap with other traders but should remain a smaller proportion of the stall display.
As a general guide, secondary products should represent no more than 25% of the stall (visually).
Casual Traders
This register lists regular traders only.
Casual traders are not listed here as they are typically used to fill gaps when regular traders are absent or when additional variety is appropriate.
